Big News: HORROR OVER THE HANDLEBARS is Out on Amazon!!

Just a quick post to mention that Horror Over the Handlebars, the horror anthology featuring my short story, “19 Miles from Millstone, June 17th, 1988,” is officially PUBLISHED!!!!

Connecticut: Small, but Scary

Twenty-one carefully curated tales set in Connecticut span the gamut from dark fairy tales to possessed objects, from Dungeons & Dragons games that overlap into real life to aliens among us. Kids on bikes ride through these pages, confronting themselves, nature, and the general weirdness of Connecticut in the ’80s and ’90s.
Meet bullies, saviors, ghosts, weirdos, and sweethearts, dreamed into existence by some of the most innovative horror writers of Connecticut, and a chosen few from elsewhere.

INCLUDES STORIES BY:

JP Behrens * Warren Benedetto * Sasha Brown * Tom Deady * Agrimmeer DeMolay * Dale W. Glaser * Michael Gore * T.L. Guthrie * Charles Montgomery * Matt Moore * Tom Moran * Kurt Newton * Judith Pancoast * Joe Russell * Rob Smales * Benjamin Thomas * Margret A Treiber * M. Tyler Tuttle * Anne Woods

I gotta say, seeing my pen name officially in print was a huge moment for me. I got to point at it very dramatically in photos I sent to my family, and celebrated it very loudly and obnoxiously with my online writing community.

I’m so glad, honored, and excited that I got to be part of this project. The other stories in this anthology are freaking fantastic, so it’s an amazing feeling to be in the same collection as a ton of the greats.

We’re Coming For Ya, Steve!

Also, no big deal, but after our first day on Amazon, we ranked in a TOP TEN LIST WITH STEPHEN FUCKING KING?!

On Kindle’s “Top New Releases: Horror Anthologies,” Stephen King’s new shorts collection You Like It Darker held the #1 slot… and we were right behind him, ON THE SAME TOP TEN LIST AS STEPHEN KING, at #6.

(And not to brag, but… The next day, we ranked up to #3! At that point, Steve’s book was no longer considered a “new release” but it’s still a completely amazing feeling.)

You can grab your copy of Horror Over the Handlebars on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle. Every time you do, a pit monster gets a new friend. (And by “friend,” I mean “meal.”) Feed your local pit monster today!

Til next time,
Mags
